We heard about Jim Cadwalader from one of our friend who worked with Jim last year. Throughout the entire process of home purchase, we never felt that Jim was a Real estate agent. He was more like
an advocate, and quickly became a confidante for us.
In our process of building a new home, we hit some road blocks with the builder and
Jim was there to help us every step of the way from the initial agreement to the post-closing, being our negotiator and representing us.
He actually cared about us and our concerns, whether they were small or major ones.
Jim worked with us at odd hours of the day/night. When we had to lock in the agreement with our builder at 9pm, he was on the phone to make sure that everything went thru okay.
I don't know any agents who will come in with you for the color selections, but when my husband asked Jim to join us (so we don't go overboard on some upgrades like the model homes!) he obliged and joined us. We have always felt that
Jim was just a phone call away whenever we needed him.
There were couple of times that Jim dropped everything he was doing to come and meet us at our home construction site when we had to address some concerns with the builders.
Being a new construction, we didn't think we needed to have a home inspection done, but Jim insisted that we get one done, just so we can have a peace of mind knowing everything is done right. We are glad we did as the inspector was able to find something which we would never have noticed otherwise.
Jim just wasn't there to collect his commission check, but was there with us helping with our decisions and making sure we are going to be happy with our new home. The most surprising thing is, when
we brought up some concerns about the construction
process at closing, he actually listened and cared
enough to escalate them to the proper channel. Any other
real estate agent would have been out to the bank to
cash their commission check that they just received!!
This goes to say that, Jim cares very much about the
people he represents, and not all about the $$.
to say, when we had our housewarming with just our close
friends and family, Jim was the first one to attend with
his wife! So, in our daughters words, "Thank you, Jim, for
making our Dream house happen!!!"
