Inspect the Bathroom - It's Necessary

After the bedroom, let's take a peek at the bathrooms.

• Check carefully for water damage around the bathtub where it meets the floor.
   
• Check around the toilet.

  • Is it loose?
  • Are there rusted bolts holding it down on the sides?
  • Is the flooring discolored around the base of the toilet?
  • Is the floor soft or feel kind of bouncy.

  All of these things are symptoms of a leaking toilet that has damaged the floor. This could potentially be an extremely expensive problem.

  These can be very subtle hints, but indicators that
  more severe, costly, damage may be present.
   

• Fixtures and Cabinets
  • Will you keep the existing fixtures and cabinets or will you want to replace them?
  • Be sure to include any remodeling cost to your out-of-pocket budget or loans.
